MeliSync ("the App") is operated by Patricio Clavijo Moreira Saas, located in Santa Lucía, Canelones, Uruguay ("we", "us", or "our").
MeliSync provides a product synchronization service that allows merchants to import and synchronize products, prices, and inventory from Mercado Libre into their Shopify stores ("the Service").
This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
Personal Information the App Collects
Information from Shopify
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account, including:
- Store information (such as shop domain and store currency)
- Products and product variants
- Prices
- Inventory levels and locations
- Subscription and billing status related to the App
This access is required in order to provide the core functionality of the Service.
Information from Mercado Libre
When you connect your Mercado Libre account, the App accesses:
- Product listings
- Prices
- Stock and availability information
The App does not collect personal data of end customers or buyers from Mercado Libre.
Information Collected Independently
The App may collect the following information related to merchants or authorized users:
- Name
- Email address
- Store domain
- Configuration data required for synchronization (such as exchange rate settings)
We do not collect or track personal information of visitors or customers of your Shopify store.
How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Synchronize products, prices, and inventory between Mercado Libre and Shopify
- Communicate with you regarding the App, updates, or support requests
- Improve and optimize the App's performance and reliability
We do not use personal information for advertising, remarketing, or behavioral tracking purposes.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as your Shopify store has the App installed.
When the App is uninstalled, any stored configuration or access data related to your store is removed or rendered inaccessible within a reasonable period, unless retention is required by law.
